Mondo co-founder Rob Jones recently announced that he sent his personal collection of Mondo posters to Heritage Auctions. The 450+ posters represent his twenty plus years as creative director at the legendary gallery.
Jones and his team oversaw a period of collectible posters that had an immediate and lasting impact on the world of screen printing.
On Instagram, Jones remarked on the why of this move — “My stomach felt queasy. A little bit like a funeral. Just a vague sadness I couldn’t express. I could never display them all, and I’m not going to make some goof bound book of everything. Figured it was time while folks still watch movies.”
