UK based illustrator Richey Beckett is set to release ‘The Eagle,’ a limited edition print that Beckett will offer for 24 hours as a timed edition.
From Beckett’s Facebook page —
‘For all of those who email me explaining how it’s impossible to buy any of my work, this is for you! (future prints will be numbered as usual). ‘THE EAGLE’ is a 6 colour screen print, available on a choice of four coloured papers.
Beautifully silk screen printed by the excellent Burlesque Of North America on 18″x 18″ 100lb French Speckletone/Construction Paper, hand embossed and signed by the artist. Available on a choice of Speckletone Kraft (pictured), Cement Green, Factory Green and Fuse Green. Each print will cost £40 and will ship worldwide.
The print will go on sale at 6pm BST on Wednesday July 9th and remain on sale for exactly 24 hours, at which point it will be removed from the store. This is a strictly limited edition and will not be available ever again following this one off sale. There will be no ‘artist proofs’ or alternative versions.’
‘The Eagle‘ is reminiscent of Beckett’s recent print for ‘The Wicker Man‘ — he’s taken a realistic and elegant approach to this portrait, creating something incredibly beautiful and simple. Beckett has held back and given the figure room on page, putting the full of the viewer’s focus on her, the woman sits center stage.
No information yet if this is an image from an upcoming album release or an art print created specifically for his shop. This is Beckett’s first timed edition in recent memory, so all that want a print of ‘The Eagle’ will have 24 hours to purchase one.
‘The Eagle’ goes on sale Wednesday July 9th at 6PM BST and will be available for 24 hours only at Richey Beckett’s STORE.
