Friday February 7th is a big day for illustrator Laurent Durieux. His first solo show in the US hits Austin’s Mondo Gallery with an opening reception Friday from 7PM – 10PM.

It’s going to be an evening of signings and first meetings — of finally seeing a gallery full of his work, new and old, that brought him a huge stateside audience.

Preparation for the show started on Monday and Laurent has been kind enough to share what’s going on in Austin through his Facebook page.

As a teaser, Mondo has released Durieux‘s ‘Back to the Future Part 2‘ design which, of course, only heightens the excitement for his show.

As a fan of Durieux, the artist and the man, I’m thrilled at the chance to attend his first opening at Mondo. To all those heading to Austin for the show, see you in line.
