In The Store: Florian Bertmer’s ‘Silence of the Lambs’

 

For their next release, Grey Matter Art turned to illustrator Florian Bertmer to create a print for Jonathan Demme’s 1991 film ‘Silence of the Lambs.’ Bertmer’s approach to the complex narrative captures the moment where the lambs have stopped screaming and now, Agent Starling can finally have herself a night of peaceful sleep.

At the core of the film are the deceitful and morbid relationships between Clarice Starling, Hannibal Lector, and Jame ‘Buffalo Bill’ Gumb — Bertmer drafts the web of characters in a manner of darkened beauty and dream-like calm.

‘Silence of the Lambs’ will be available Wednesday, February 10th between 1PM – 2PM EST at the GMA Shop.
