The good folks of The Fifty Nine Parks Print Series reached out to illustrator Oliver Barrett to tackle one of America’s most beloved monuments, the Statue of Liberty. Barrett is an inspired choice — a gifted portraitist who instills an emphatic mania of movement to his subjects, but here, Barrett is reserved. A nod of reverence to the material.
Barrett puts Lady Liberty on full display — she stands under the bounty of American blue sky, the city distant, outshined.
Alongside an open edition 18″ x 24″ print, there is a timed edition measuring 24″ x 32.”
