The UK’s Vice Press teamed up with illustrator Raid71 for a limited edition screenprint of author Richard Adams‘ classic adventure novel ‘Watership Down.’
Chris Thornley, better known as Raid71, is an illustrator capable of combining the comic and fantastical with an air of sophistication. His previous work with Vice Press tackled the world of Judge Dredd and for Grey Matter Art he’s positioned Spider-Man against some of his more dangerous foes.
In each print Thornley brings depth and dynamism with his compositions and here in ‘Watership Down,’ there is that same depth of color and narrative, but within that there’s a beautified calm. He’s treated Adams’ creation with respect, shining his unique light on a British classic.
