Illustrator Oliver Barrett is the rare breed of freelance artist that can tackle any subject and retain his distinctly refined and sophisticated style. For the 2015 NBA Finals Barrett was hired by ESPN to create a series of portraits to coincide with the series that gave us the players as tense competitors.
This wasn’t his first project for ESPN nor was it his entry into sports illustration. On the How Design site is the interview I conducted with Oliver about baseball, finding a niche, and his series of illustrations for the NBA Finals. You can read the full interview HERE.
