Artist Brian Ewing brings out the creep and horror in his prints ‘The Shining‘ and ‘Psycho‘ released by Chicago’s Galerie F.
Ewing’s visual language is steeped in the classic monster. At times his work takes those characters and brings out the camp and fun of old horror, but for his duo of Hollywood madmen Norman Bates and Jack Torrance he focuses on the madness.
Ewing’s use of metallic inks for ‘Psycho‘ and ‘The Shining‘ gives the insanity greater depth — as you walk around each print the under-flesh sways. Two of cinema’s most frightening villains captured in movable mug shot.
Both prints are available in the Galerie F Store in limited runs of 30 for the variants and 50 for the regular editions.
