Mondo is following their trio of underground horror soundtracks for ‘Blue Sunshine,’ ‘Here Comes The Devil,’ and ‘The Omen’ with something slightly different. Two family friendly horror soundtracks. Bruno Coulais‘ soundtrack for the Neil Gaiman inspired ‘Coraline‘ and Jon Brion‘s score for ‘ParaNorman‘ go on sale via Mondo on April 22nd.
In celebration of ‘Record Store Day‘ a special edition of ‘ParaNorman‘ will hit independent brick and mortar records shops on April 19th.
This is the first vinyl release for either soundtrack, an honor that Mondo has been regularly bestowing on a variety of interesting films. This go ’round Michael De Pippo was tapped for the design of ‘Coraline.’ De Pippo has a wonderful touch with animated work and his take on the frighteningly buttoned world of Neil Gaiman’s ‘Coraline’ is a bold and straightforward design.
DKNG tackled ‘ParaNorman’ and brought the ghoulishness of the Oscar nominated film to the vinyl release.
Looking forward to picking both of these up on April 22nd.
