A Brief Look: The Sketches & Figures of Leslie Hung

In her work as Illustrator and comic book artist Leslie Hung creates a clean line, where even at the sketch level her art shows a clear visual. Hung’s characters come first and in each face is a story. In her poster ‘The World‘ she created for Telegraph Gallery, Hung creates a mood not only from the figure’s stance but also from her gaze.

Within each canvas Hung keeps you following the character and the unique moment they are experiencing, and inside of those finished pieces and sketches she creates a life. With each character begins a wordless narrative.
